Thanks to my friend the engineer, who stopped by after work today, we now have cribbage in our living room.

Crib Sideways

The crib!

It could use a fresh coat of paint, but I think it’s quite pretty.

Here are some pix of the bumper.

Now all I need is a baby to put in it… sigh.

  1. The bumpers with tthe kitties and puppies are realllllllly cute. 🙂

  2. That’s beautiful. Can this person come up to MN ahd help me with my window treatments?
I think the crib was another serendipitous sign, just like when the onesy fell into your cart at Target (“onesy” – or is it “onesie” oh dear, I’ve made a big mess of things.)
And, also maybe a bit of a message that things seem complicated at first, but the solution always appears.
Hang in there Art. I am sending you and P. good wishes for many smooth transitions.

  3. bravo!
    loooove the bumper!

  4. So happy for you! And the bumpers are cute!! When you said “orange kitty bumpers” I was picturing some orange/plaid number made from the 70’s. These are cute!

  5. Love, love, love the crib. It’s very classic looking. Hope the boy is in it soon!

  6. The crib is beautiful. I know the boy will be here soon!

  7. If you want instructions, anyway, call Cosco at 800-221-6736.

    That’s a cute crib & bumper.
We got our crib at a yard sale. We were ON OUR WAY to KM*art to buy this particular crib, when we passed a yard sale and I said “hey! there’s the crib!” and Voila! there it was. And we verified date of manufacture and all that and we were good to go. $40 instead of $100+. It’s all good.

  8. That is a very cute bumper!

  9. I love that crib bumper! I had that set until I got the “girl call” and switched to pink butterflies. Sold my set at my favorite consignment shop, or I’d send you all the cordinating pieces.
Allow me to channel my “fru-fru” self and tell you that a green gingham sheet and crib skirt (available at K-Mart) looks great with it. If you check E-Bay you might even find the matching striped sheets or the green puppy/kitten print sheets that match! Okay, enough of my gushing…I’m glad you got the crib together and I know it will look just as good in the baby’s room…

  10. A-s

Good for you, overcoming the first (of many) parent construction challenges. And I’ll bet the room looks great with that crib in there.

I hope the wait to got to PGN isn’t much longer.

    Love to both of you.

  11. oh that is so CUTE!!!!!!

i am a terrible one for superstition as well – but also love ‘signs’ and i would say THAT price was a sign!!!

i know how tough this waiting is … i am right there with you in PGN blackhole

hang in there as best you can

it’s not pretty … my days now involve lots of snotty crying and chocolate …

at the end of each day, it’s like, well, one days less … hopefully

    hugs
    MK
